About Me
- Eric and Sonia
- I am married and we have a 3 1/2-year old son and a 4 1/2 month old daughter. I am a stay home dad and enjoying it very much! I worked in marketing and sales for two years after college. I was a business teacher for 5 years, coached baseball for a year, and coached cross country for two years. I finished my master's degree in education with a focus on Instructional Technology from the University of Northern Iowa in December 2008. My future goals are to be a technology coordinator or work at a university in educational technology. I currently am teaching part-time at a local community college. Other possible future plans are to start and operate a home-based online business and take computer certification courses to better prepare me for the future workplace.

Ericthedad! So happy you started your group! It was nice meeting you at the AHD convention. Like you said, it may not really get going for about 6 months so patience and also persistence will serve you well!
I was wondering though...and Google group and a yahoo group? Isn't that creating double the effort for you?
I just started a group in the NW Chicago Suburbs on athomedad.or and also on googlegroups and Mike B of athomedad.org asked me why I'd double my efforts. I think I will close the google group, leave the athomedad.org group up to be able to utilize all its resources and post the group blog at google. I dunno. I am new to the internet tools.
Anyway, I just wanted to wish you well and say it was nice meeting you. I am glad you were able to make t to the convention and I hope to see you in Sacramento next year too!

I tested the Yahoo and Google groups, but I plan on staying with just the Yahoo that seems to be what most dads start out with for announcements and calendar, and discussions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to do both groups...good luck with yours!
