Harvest

I helped on the Springer family farm today. I mowed the Cundiff property and disced the field west of mom and dad's house. Dad helped show me how to disc. I've enjoyed working with Dad and helping them with harvest. I plan on helping out this week mowing and with harvest as well, maybe discing again if Dad needs help again with that.

I am excited about attending the At Home Dad's Convention on November 3rd in Kansas City. I found out about the event at a web site athomedad.org. I want to start a dad's group here in Champaign. I have communicated with another dad and am asking for support from a service organization in town to help start an at home dad's group. The other dad's name is Dan Gutoy and invited me to carve pumpkins and play ultimate frisbee with him sometime.

Sonia and Noah are doing great. Sonia got to spend some quality time with Noah today while I was on the farm. She and Noah went grocery shopping at Meijer. Sonia did a wonderful job makind an eggplant and potato curry soup for dinner and she also cooked chili for tomorrow's lunch when dad is coming over. Right now she is baking an apple pie!

Dad is coming over for lunch tomorrow. Mom is in Indiana spending quality time with the grandkids and Ryan and Nisha. Dad and I were planning on watching the Cubs in the NLDS but they got eliminated tonight in game 3 in Chicago. Maybe next year!

Hey Eric, I'm looking forward to meeting you at the convention. It should be a lot of fun. Sounds like your family had a great day working out at the farm. My in-laws are farmers too and the kids loving going out there.

I've enjoyed your videos on your blog! I may start leaving videos as well. How old are you children?

Videos are a great way to show people who you are, and they are fun to make too. LOL! Glad you are enjoying mine. I do them just to vent and let people see who I really am. My kids are 10, 7, and 3 so I keep busy with them. By the way, I'm looking forward to seeing more postings on here (try a video posting once, I think you'll enjoy doing that too). We S.A.H.D.s have to stick together!
